3rd Annual All-Girls Open National Championships 2006

This was a wonderful event that featured a special appearance by the former World Champion Garry Kasparov.  There was much competition at this tournament that included mostly girls from the East Coast where there is some strong chess.  We sent one of our top girls, Sarah Sampei, to compete.  She finished in the top 10 in her section.  The event took place at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago, Illinois, a very luxurious hotel on March 18 & 19th, 2006.  Photos

Susan Polgar National Open Championships 2006

This event took place January 27-29, 2006 in Corpus Christi, Texas.  It was a spectacular event with great access to Susan Polgar.  This was a special event as it was just for girls.  There are a few pictures of some of the sites around including the massive Omni hotel just next door.  Photos

SuperNationals 2005

This tournament is held every 4 years. It is the Super Bowl of scholastic chess tournaments. You should make plans to attend this tournament at least once in your life. It routinely breaks world records in attendance for the most participants ever for a chess tournament. They have been consistently holding this event at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville. It is quite a hotel! Photos

North American Open 2005

This is an excellent annual tournament down in Oklahoma that always has super strong players show up. No sites to see, just good chess. Photos

HB Global 2005

This event was held in downtown Minneapolis. It was a great location with stellar competition. This city is really amazing. You should check out the mall, too. Photos

U.S Open 2005

This event was held at the beautiful Arizona Biltmore Resort in Phoenix. It was a very fun tournament and a real fun time. I highly recommend it. Photos
